This represents the final piece I am writing before one of two scenarios unfolds: we make it to Gaza, or Israel seizes our ship. We expect to reach by early October, after sailing the seas since September 27th.

Earlier this month featured the abduction by Israel the crew members aboard the first Sumud convoy the night prior to planned landing. This appears to be the comparable stage when Israel may attempt to intercept our vessels from the Thousand Madleens and Freedom Flotilla Coalition.

Sailing Amid Risky Situations

When we were off Cyprus, organizing evening shifts while monitoring an unknown aerial vehicle, we received news that Israel had illegally commandeered the two main Sumud boats in global maritime zones.

The following morning delivered troubling information during my regular activities: scrubbing eating utensils in the limited kitchen space, reviewing communications repeatedly while Israel progressively captured the additional aid vessels.

This development has only strengthened our collective determination to maintain our course.

Living Conditions Aboard

At this sailing stage, I've created a schedule. My nighttime arrangement consists of resting between evening and early morning, then handling nighttime monitoring until dawn approaches, managing another two hours afterwards for a total of five hours. More sleep proves impossible during choppy waters and regular disruptions of communal living.

My bed comprises a thin padding placed over the seating area in the communal zone. Each morning I dress within my resting sack during morning beverage preparation in close proximity. Certain aspects of coexisting with six other individuals within limited nautical space need substantial acclimation.

The Mission's Purpose

The healthcare materials and child feeding formula placed in the back section and cockpit area of our craft could save numerous lives provided we complete our mission. During a recent interview, a questioner implied they perceived our operation as metaphorical since interception seemed inevitable.

Considered remotely, this understanding could appear reasonable. However, after sailing more than seven days with relief supplies throughout your environment, aware of its exact placement, maintaining hope becomes essential for assisting desperate communities.

Transforming Relief Efforts

But, distributing resources constitutes more than the flotilla's ultimate purpose. Israeli authorities frequently inquire regarding our refusal to let their distribution of our aid. Apart from warranted concern about whether distribution would occur amid extended limitations, consenting to those conditions would indirectly endorse authority concerning maritime zones.

Disturbing Developments

Recent information revealed regarding the first mission members: relocation to desert detention, categorization as undocumented migrants notwithstanding involuntary transfer outside national jurisdiction. Information suggested refusal of basic necessities including water, medicine and food, combined with humiliating conduct and sometimes brutality from prison authorities.

Updated figures revealed numerous mission members were removed while hundreds stayed imprisoned.

Wider Perspective

These conditions appear horrific but they diminish beside to the systematic abuses experienced by detained Palestinians in identical institutions. Recorded instances involve deadly force leading to mortality lacking following responsibility for involved personnel.

Advocacy institutions have comprehensively chronicled widespread torture practices and sexual violence incidents within detention centers. Despite worldwide outrage about activists' circumstances remains justified and necessary, equivalent consideration proved missing concerning Palestinian ordeal throughout decades of conflict.

Morning Reflections

Every sunrise I witness the infinite aquatic realm and the descending amber moon prior to following sunrise. This maritime freedom to navigate vast waters highlights the essential comprehension that our purpose exceeds assistance.

Liberation for Palestinians stays unachieved and our individual rights will remain compromised before that liberation is achieved. This core concept clarifies our persistent navigation. The logic remains simple.
