An individual of Australian nationality who jumped past a barrier and touched actress Ariana Grande has been expelled and prohibited from Singapore.

The individual, twenty-six, was given a sentence to over a week in prison for disrupting public order and has now been "banned from entering the country again," the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority told local media.

He forced his way past photographers and rushed toward the celebrity, who was present at the regional launch for the film on the thirteenth of November. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

The individual has a record of interrupting performances and celebrity events, including rushing the stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.

The incident sparked outrage in Singapore, with several individuals accusing him of re-traumatising Grande.

The celebrity has mentioned suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist bombing at her concert in the UK city in several years ago killed 22 individuals and affected hundreds.

During Wen's trial, the judge was informed he had attempted to intrude on the red carpet event multiple times, according to regional reports.

He then made a second attempt to breach security. Protection personnel intercepted him and pinned him down.

Wen later posted video clips appreciating the celebrity for allowing his presence and said he was "at liberty."

Police took him into custody the next day and accused him with public nuisance, to which the man admitted guilt.

The District Judge the judicial official was referenced by Channel News Asia as stating that Wen was "attention seeking", commenting that he was wrong to think he would not experience repercussions.

The actress has not commented on the case.

The co-star discussed the incident to the press, remarking that she "only aimed to ensure my friend was protected."

"I'm sure he didn't intend us injury, but you cannot be certain with these incidents, and I sought to make sure that she was OK. That was my first instinct," she said.
