Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A jet carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane landed based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has encountered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
