David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
