Clair Obscur Triumphs at the 2025's Golden Joystick Ceremony
The forty-third annual Golden Joystick Awards were hosted on Thursday, and with a remarkable show, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was crowned the most decorated winner. The standout role-playing game by Sandfall Interactive won the prestigious Top Game award, along with accolades for Outstanding Narrative and Excellence in Visuals.
Complementing the studio's triumph, the gifted actors also garnered individual awards. Jennifer English was named Top Lead Actor for her role as Maelle, while Ben Starr took home Supporting Performance Award for his acting as Verso. Additionally, Sandfall Interactive the studio was named Best Development Team. In total, Clair Obscur and its makers achieved seven awards throughout the event.
Other notable winners included Ghost of Yōtei, which was awarded Outstanding Audio and Top Console Title, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, winning Top Self-Published Indie and Best PC Game. It is important to note, the majority of Golden Joystick Awards are chosen by the audience, with only four awards—Critics Choice, Breakthrough, Hall of Fame, and Streamers’ Choice—decided by critics.
